What is IntimaLaser?

IntimaLaser (FotonaSmooth®) is a laser system (thermal laser) that can be expected to tighten and tone loose vagina.
By applying heat with a laser, it has the effect of contracting the vagina, and by changing the site and method of irradiation, it can also tighten the urethra and improve urinary incontinence.
Furthermore, IntimaLaser treatment can be expected to improve various concerns in delicate areas, such as reducing darkening of the labia minora and majora, GSM*, and alleviating sexual intercourse pain. Treatment with IntimaLaser carries minimal risks of bleeding or burns, and there is also minimal discomfort and few side effects after the procedure, allowing patients to undergo treatment with peace of mind.

*GSM(Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause): Menopause-related genitourinary symptoms
Symptoms related to genitalia and sexual intercourse: Dryness and itching of the vagina, unpleasant-smelling vaginal discharge, pain during sexual intercourse, lack of lubrication, etc.
Symptoms related to urination: Urinary incontinence, frequent urination, waking up multiple times at night due to the need to urinate.

Expected Effects

V-Tightening
〇Tightening and toning of the vagina

This treatment involves irradiating the mucous membrane inside the vagina overall.
Unlike typical lasers that focus on the surface, this treatment evenly delivers laser heat from deep within, which can lead to a thorough tightening effect from the entrance to the depths of the vagina.
Furthermore, by providing heat and stimulating skin cells, collagen production is stimulated, resulting in thickening of the vaginal wall, which can also lead to a tightening effect on the vagina.

Treatment Procedure

Step 1.
Insert a device covered with a glass tube into the vagina and perform a 360-degree irradiation inside the vagina.

Step 2.
Further irradiate the external genitalia (near the vaginal opening) to tighten the entrance of the vagina.

Changes after treatment
Thickening of the vaginal wall occurs due to laser irradiation, leading to improvement in vaginal laxity.

U-Tightening

〇Tightening of the urethra, improvement in urinary incontinence
This treatment involves using an IntimaLaser insertion applicator specifically designed for urinary incontinence, irradiating the anterior portion of the vaginal wall (bladder side) from inside the vagina. By increasing the thickness of the vaginal wall on the urethral side, it is expected to have effects such as tightening the urethra and improving urinary incontinence.

Treatment Procedure

Step 1.
Insert a device covered with a glass tube into the vagina and irradiate the anterior portion of the vaginal wall (bladder side).

Changes after treatment
Tightening occurs due to laser irradiation, leading to improvement in bladder laxity.

Whitening

〇Removal of darkening, whitening
This treatment involves irradiating the labia minora and majora to perform whitening.
For the labia minora, the desired effect can be achieved with one treatment, while for the labia majora, approximately three treatments may be necessary.

Improvement of GSM

〇Dryness, itching, dyspareunia, urinary incontinence
GSM (Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause), also known as atrophic vaginitis, is a common condition seen in postmenopausal women.
Conventional treatment methods have posed issues such as side effects, but IntimaLaser offers a safe treatment with minimal side effects.

Recommended number of treatments

1-2 sessions:
Urinary incontinence, stress incontinence
Mild atrophic vaginitis, vaginal laxity

2-3 sessions:
Pelvic organ prolapse, mixed incontinence, atrophic vaginitis

4-5 sessions or more:
Pelvic organ prolapse

Downtime
Temporary swelling may occur immediately after the procedure, but it will gradually subside during the postoperative period. Additionally, there may be an increase in vaginal discharge or slight bleeding after the procedure, but it typically resolves within a few days.

Risks and Side Effects
